Come meet the doulas of the Ithaca Doula Collective!
This is an opportunity for anyone expecting a baby in 2024 to learn more about what doulas are, how we can support you through your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum process. It is a great way to talk to multiple doulas to get an idea of who would be the best fit for you. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk individually with doulas. Think of it as “doula speed dating” :)
This event is free of charge and open to all folks interested in doula support.
Please RSVP so we know how many folks to expect!
*not all of the doulas from the collective will be present but many will be
This class will combine elements from hatha, vinyasa, and kundalini yoga to encourage an easeful pregnancy and birth. We will work on not just the body but the mind and spirit as well through breathwork, movement, and deep relaxation. Pregnant people in all 3 trimesters are welcome. This is a great way to not only prepare your body for birth but to connect with other expecting parents in a fun and relaxing way. Come as you are, no experience necessary!

Covid-19 Updates

Our Mission
We are a collective of independent doulas serving the Ithaca, NY and surrounding regions with comprehensive, non-judgmental, inclusive support services, including the following: birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, perinatal loss, abortion, miscarriage, adoption and/or other family transitions.
What is a birth doula?
Birth Doulas have extensive birth training specifically to provide physical and emotional support for you and your partner in labor. They generally provide 1-3 prenatal visits, provide continuous care for your entire birth and then provide 1-2 postpartum visits.
there are many available doulas, take a look to see who would be a good fit for you
Donate to the Doula Access Initiative
Mission: The Doula Access Initiative supports and expands access to positive experiences of birth, the postpartum period, and other family transitions through free doula care and support services. In establishing a funding source to offset the cost of the full spectrum of doula care, we increase doula access to all families with priority given to Black and Indigenous families. We provide a link between families and doulas in a way that trusts in the family’s wisdom and promotes autonomy. In alignment with Birth and Reproductive Justice movements, we work to remove barriers and reduce health disparities.
