Introductory process

• Attend 3 monthly meetings over 6 months time-frame

• Welcome to join public events, but please observe the process and approach by current members (do not speak on behalf of the IDC)

• After First Meeting - access to private facebook page

Check-in after attending 3 monthly meetings

• Create a profile on our IDC website

• Year dues $50 starting in January

• Sign IDC Membership Agreement

• Join a Committee

Committee Roles in the Collective:

• Website Support

• Social Media/PR

• Meet the Doulas Organization

• Continuing Education

• Admin

• Mailchimp

• Finances

• Onboarding

• Distribution of Materials

• Facilitate Monthly Meetings (on a rotation schedule with other doulas)

• Notetaker for Monthly Meetings (on a rotation schedule with other doulas)

All membership fees will go to support website development, materials, tabling and event costs. If the membership fee is a barrier to joining the collective, please reach out so we can help. We support all doulas in our community - both in the collective and those who work independently. Access to birth work in all forms is core value to IDC.

To qualify for professional membership, it isn't necessary to be an ACTIVE doula, but able to agree to participation in IDC yearly goals.
